Owyhee River, Oregon (Select Photo to Enlarge)

An hour east of Boise, Idaho I was disappointed to see a muddy, seemingly fishless waterway, until 1 minute
later a 26"+ Brown slurped a grasshopper off the surface!
|
Move to locations where the river is in shadow earlier, and you'll
find the fish starting to feed off the surface and in the surface film. Then get ready for action.

|
Many of the better runs have very steep dropoffs, so fishing is done
right from shore, which makes a long handled net beneficial, and don't forget the sunscreen it's HOT.
|
This Brown is typical of what was caught for hours, on drys, on
streamers, on weighted buggers. Most of the fish were in pods and changing up kept them hitting.

|
This Brown slammed a streamer swung in front of its face while
it was taking naturals off the surface. For fun try skittering an unweighted streamer on the surface!
